UH-60 Black Hawk - Firing AGM-114 HellfireUS Army UH-60 Black Hawk test firing an AGM-114 Hellfire laser-guided anti-tank missile. Aside from the SOAR MH-60L DAPs, US Black Hawks do not usually carry Hellfires, although they can be fitted with them if required. The bulky and vulnerable Black Hawk is not an ideal platform from which to hunt tanks but they can be so employed in desperate circumstances. It was envisioned that, in the event of a conventional war against Soviet forces in Europe, all available helicopters should be able to engage enemy armour and the Black Hawk was no exception. Israeli Black Hawks are often armed with Hellfires.
