HH-60G Pave Hawk

A U.S. Air Force HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopter flares up as it comes in for a landing during an exercise.

The HH-60G Pave Hawk is dedicated to combat search and rescue (CSAR) of downed pilots and is operated by USAF and Air National Guard squadrons. It carries a personnel personnel locating system (PLS) which homes in on a beacon signal transmitted by the survival radios carried by pilots.
