Chinook MinigunA British Royal Air Force (RAF) door gunner takes aime with a M134 mingun mounted at the side firing port of a 18 Squadron RAF Chinook. The RAF operates the largest number of Chinooks after the U.S. Army. Their fleet of .HC2 and HC2a Chinooks are the same standard as the U.S. Army CH-47D Chinook. British Chinooks are typically armed with M134 7.62mm miniguns or L7 GPMG (M240) belt-fed machine guns at the port/starboard firing ports and a M60 7.62mm machine gun mounted at the rear ramp. The M60s were supplied with the Chinooks when the RAF purchased the Chinooks from Boeing.
